Machame Gate to Machame Camp
Start at Machame Gate (1,640m) and trek through the lush rainforest. The trail is steep and can be muddy, but the rich vegetation and wildlife make it worthwhile. Arrive at Machame Camp (2,835m) for your first night on the mountain.

Machame Camp to Shira Camp
Leave the rainforest and enter the moorland zone. The trail becomes steeper as you climb towards Shira Camp (3,750m). Enjoy spectacular views of Kibo Peak and the surrounding landscape.

Shira Camp to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp
Key acclimatization day following 'climb high, sleep low' principle. Ascend to Lava Tower (4,630m) then descend to Barranco Camp (3,960m). This helps your body adapt to altitude.

Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
Conquer the famous Barranco Wall - an exciting scramble that's easier than it looks. Continue through the alpine desert landscape to Karanga Camp (4,035m) with stunning views throughout.

Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
Short but challenging ascent to Barafu Camp (4,673m), your summit base camp. The landscape becomes increasingly barren. Rest and prepare for the midnight summit attempt.

Summit Day - Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp
The ultimate challenge! Start at midnight for Uhuru Peak (5,895m). Experience the magical sunrise from Africa's rooftop, then descend to Mweka Camp (3,068m) for recovery.

Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate
Final descent through the beautiful rainforest to Mweka Gate (1,640m). Collect your well-earned summit certificates and celebrate your achievement before returning to Moshi.
